A coastal school that grew up with its community

Emley Education Centre began in 2000 as K.A.G. School in Msambweni, supported by friends of the school in Emley, West Yorkshire, whose name it carries today.
From those beginnings it has grown into a complete learning journey on one campus: Modern Daycare, Pre-primary, Primary, Junior School and Senior School, with day and boarding places.
I am Harrison Kamere, Director of Emley Education Centre, Msambweni. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our school family.
At Emley Education Centre, we believe that every child is gifted differently, and our role is to discover and nurture that gift. We are not just teaching for exams; we are raising all-rounded, disciplined, and God-fearing future leaders.
Our commitment is simple: Academic Excellence, Strong Character, and a Safe Environment.
We have a dedicated team of qualified teachers, a well-structured curriculum, and a loving environment where your child will feel at home, be challenged to grow, and be prepared for the world ahead.
We thank you, our parents, for trusting us with your children. Your support is the foundation of our success.
I invite you to explore our website, visit our school, and join us on this journey of shaping the future, one child at a time.

From three nursery classrooms to a full school
In 1998 Rosemary Donnan visited the K.A.G. church in Msambweni and was given plans for a nursery school. Friends at St Michael's Church, Emley raised the money for three classrooms, and the nursery opened in 2001 with 15 pupils and one teacher. Our history follows the school year by year from there: each new classroom, the library, the breakfast club, mosquito nets for sponsored children, and the visits that made it happen.
One school, three crests
Each stage of the school carries its own crest and motto, united by the same values.

To provide high-quality education that enables pupils to be knowledgeable in all curriculum subjects, in a positive, friendly atmosphere in which all pupils can achieve success.
To foster partnership between pupils, parents and teachers, leading to shared responsibility for learning.
- Integrity
- Leadership
- Transparency & accountability
- Respect for human dignity
- Community-oriented
