Emley African Fair 2010

On Saturday 6th November we held our annual African Fayre at Emley Church.

We are very fortunate in that Emley Church is a beautiful building centrally placed in the village with lots of space for parking for visitors from further afield.

By moving the seats to one side we are able to hold our Fayre in the nave surrounded by stained glass windows and carvings some dating back to Norman times.

A big thank you to our visitors who helped us in our fund raising by buying cakes and bric a brac, books and plants as well as African carvings, bracelets and model boats. We raised over £1450 for the school and a further £55 for mosquito nets.

Of course a very special thank you to our band of helpers without whom we could not have run the day.
